Sweden has won the World Cup opener 5-1, and with that, summer is officially underway! However, there are many other signs of summer approaching, one of which is that wasps and other insects are beginning to wake from their winter hibernation.

Depending on the weather and a number of other hard-to-analyze factors, there will be more or fewer wasps and other insects during the summer. For our client, who works with pest control, this means that before summer begins, they do not know how many pest control technicians they will need – suddenly, things can get busy, and the need for more service-oriented technicians can arise almost overnight.

For this reason, we are now proactively looking for you who:

• Are available for immediate start and are available to work during the summer
• Hold a Category B driver's license (the vehicle you will drive is automatic)
• Have good social skills and thrive in customer-facing roles
• Are not allergic (or afraid) of wasps and other insect stings
• Speak and write Swedish and English well

How will this work?

This will be a somewhat special job advertisement. Our client currently does not have a need to onboard new colleagues. However, they will most likely need new technicians during the summer.

We will therefore:

• Publish this advertisement to connect with you if you are available immediately and interested in being available when our client's needs arise
• Interview and conduct our entire recruitment process while waiting for our client's needs to arise
• Follow up with you and other relevant candidates weekly to check your updated interest/availability if a position opens up

The goal is that on the day the need for technicians arises, you will be scheduled for an interview with the client, with a chance for employment with immediate start and an introduction shortly after your interview.

Responsibilities

• Drive to customers according to a planned route in a company vehicle
• Perform wasp nest removal for private individuals and businesses throughout Stockholm
• Create security for the customer through professional and clear communication
• Document completed work via digital tools (mobile)
• Plan and carry out the workday based on booked assignments

• Communicative and confident in customer meetings

Qualifications

For this role, personal qualities and a desire and ambition to do a good job are the most important. However, it is an advantage (but not a requirement) if you:

• Have experience in service professions or customer contact
• Have experience in practical or technical work
• Are comfortable driving for full days
• Have previous field work experience (e.g., craftsmanship, installation, or remediation)
• Some experience in similar work is advantageous, but not a requirement – the right attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued

About the employment

This is a consultancy assignment with employment at OIO. The assignment is intended to last from the start date and through the remainder of the summer/high season. For the right person, and if the need arises, this can lead to long-term employment if all parties are happy with the collaboration.
