The Department of Pedagogy and Didactics teaches nearly 8,000 students annually (headcount) and currently has approximately 160 employees, including about 100 researchers/teachers, 30 doctoral students, and 40 administrative staff.
CeUL – The Centre for University Teacher Education – is a centre that provides competence-developing education and activities in higher education pedagogy and subject didactics at the university level for teachers at Stockholm University, teaching doctoral students, and supervisors within doctoral education. CeUL follows research and encourages teaching based on higher education pedagogical and subject didactic research, while also supporting pedagogical development work. CeUL is located within the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics.

Job Description
As a teaching assistant (amanuens), your duties may vary, and the tasks are designed to give you insight into the academic world at the faculty where you are studying.
Development Project – You will participate in the implementation of an ongoing project aimed at developing tools for more inclusive teaching, working together with another teaching assistant who has been involved in the project since January. This will take up at least half of the working hours for the position, with the aim to:
- Adapt teaching to students with different backgrounds, prerequisites, and interests already in the planning phase.
- Receive support and guidance from CeUL staff during the project work.
- Conduct interviews with students and teachers.
- Write a report together with the other teaching assistant and present the project results to groups of university teachers in various contexts.
- Organize pedagogical seminars and workshops, and work with CeUL's evaluation materials.
- Communication – contribute to CeUL's work to reach teachers and collaborate with the student union.
- Participate in workshops for university teachers where you provide the student perspective on specific issues.
- Assist CeUL's administration with work regarding materials in Canvas.
- Receive support and guidance from CeUL staff during the project work.
Qualifications
The applicant must be admitted to a first-cycle or second-cycle programme.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- At least 100 university credits within their programme.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
The following are meritorious for the position:
- Shown interest in quality issues within higher education.
- Experience from work in a student union, programme council, study council, working group, or committee.
- Teaching experience, for example as a practice assistant, SI-leader (Study Instruction Leader), or other pedagogical experience.
Consideration will be given to how the applicant, through their experience and competence, is assessed to complement and strengthen the operations at CeUL.
About the Position
The employment is fixed-term for the period 2026-08-15 to 2026-12-31, or as otherwise agreed, with a workload of 10-20% of full-time employment, as agreed.
