About the role
Our client is a leading Swedish company that develops digital business solutions for companies and advisors. The company has a strong market position, high growth, and plays an important role in the digitalization of Swedish business. We are now looking for an ambitious and structured consultant for the role of Legal Coordinator, who will work closely with management, Legal, and Risk & Compliance on issues related to corporate governance, internal control, regulatory requirements, and strategic projects.
The role is initially primarily focused on legal administration, coordination, and creating structure where you contribute to high quality in documentation, reporting, and internal processes. For the right person, there are simultaneously good opportunities to gradually support more qualified legal work. The work is primarily linked to the part of the business that is under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and is covered by the company's license as a payment institution. This places high demands on structure, documentation, and internal control, where you will have an important role in ensuring efficient working methods and high quality. Our client also has ambitions to streamline work within Legal, Risk & Compliance using AI, and sees this role as central to that effort.
This is a consultancy assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and work on assignment for our client. We are looking for someone who can start the assignment in early September and who sees the collaboration long-term. Our client's office is located on Östermalm, where they apply a hybrid model with the possibility of working remotely from time to time. In the final stage of the process, our client will conduct a background check on the final candidate, and you will receive more information about this during the process.
Key Responsibilities
The role of Legal Coordinator involves broad responsibility where you combine legal administration with coordination and internal controls to streamline the team's deliveries.
- Compile information and decision materials for the board and management forum
- Update contracts and policy documents and administer action lists
- Perform ongoing in-house controls and spot checks
- Coordinate agendas and ensure schedules are met through active stakeholder management
- Conduct minor investigations within areas such as DORA, data protection, and legal
- Gather and handle material from various group functions for reporting
- Contribute to developing and streamlining administrative working methods using AI and automation
We are looking for someone who
- Has a bachelor's degree in law, economics, or another relevant field
- Has basic experience in legal work or other similar tasks
- Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Has an interest in AI and experience with or good understanding of how AI can be used to streamline administrative and legal processes
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience from financial activities or the fintech sector
- Previous experience from a law firm
