The Role of the Operating Room Nurse

As an operating room nurse, you play a central role in the perioperative care chain – before, during, and after surgical procedures. You work in close collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologist nurses, nursing assistants, and other professionals to ensure a safe, secure, and professional operating environment for every individual patient. You are responsible for ensuring hygiene and sterility, and for making sure that all instruments, materials, equipment, and medical technology devices are functional and in place.

The Operating and Intensive Care Clinic is one of the hospital's largest departments, with approximately 450 employees in intensive care, operating room services, sterile processing, and an administrative unit. The clinic has employees with high competence and a desire to develop – you will contribute to this development. Your Profile

We are now looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education in operating room nursing and who thrive in and promote cross-boundary teamwork. If you have previous experience from operating room activities, we value this highly.

To thrive with us, we believe you are structured, secure, and stable in your work approach with a positive attitude. You have good collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and are flexible in your way of working. It is important to us that you have high work ethics, can take initiative, have the ability to see the big picture, adapt to changed circumstances, and maintain calm in stressful situations. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. It is desirable that you have a few years of experience as an operating room nurse.
