Here, you will become an important part of our cross-professional team and contribute to providing person-centered care for our elderly residents.

At Pilträdet Service House, 114 elderly Stockholmers live who wish to continue living an independent and meaningful life with the right support when needed. By taking into account individual conditions, wishes, and needs, and by involving the elderly in the design of the support provided, we aim to offer housing that goes beyond the ordinary.

This is a temporary position at 70% until March 31, 2027.

Your Role

As an occupational therapist, you work closely with physiotherapists and contribute your specialist competence. Your responsibilities include:

• Planning and organizing interventions together with your colleagues.
• Working towards good healthcare based on the individual's needs.
• Responsible for performing functional assessments in the elderly person's home.
• Prescribing and fitting assistive devices.
• Planning and documenting implemented interventions.
• Mentoring, training, and engaging your colleagues.
• Together with the physiotherapist, you are responsible for mobility training.
• Handling both emergency and planned interventions in a complex environment.

You also participate in our improvement work to raise the quality of the unit and work according to our core values of being engaged, innovative, and responsive.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with experience within healthcare and social care.

You are creative in the sense that you see opportunities instead of obstacles. As a person, you have a good ability to collaborate, communicate, and promote a good work environment, thereby countering discrimination. Furthermore, you work evidence-based, methodically, development-oriented, and are accustomed to a flexible working method based on the resident's needs. Naturally, you have a good attitude towards people and enjoy working with the elderly.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes for Stockholm City, you must show an extract from the criminal record register. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.

The Elderly Care Department is responsible for assistance case management and various interventions that enable the elderly to have their care needs met. Here you will find care and nursing homes, service houses, support for relatives, day activities, and home help services. The administration applies full-time as the norm, and you will be employed within Kungsholmen Elderly Care.
