About the assignment

Södertälje Municipality needs to strengthen its finance function with senior competence in consolidated financial statements (municipal group accounting).

The background to this assignment is an increased need for quality assurance, structure, and development of working methods within group accounting, as well as a need to evaluate and introduce system support for handling consolidated financial statements. This is a consulting assignment with us at Bemanna, starting in August and lasting between 5-6 months.

Your responsibilities

In the role of accountant, your responsibilities will include ensuring that consolidated financial statements are prepared in accordance with current regulations (LKBR and RKR). You will strengthen quality, efficiency, and traceability in the process and contribute to the introduction and establishment of system support for consolidated financial statements. You will work both operationally and in an advisory capacity.

Your responsibilities further include:

• Contribute to the introduction and establishment of system support for consolidated financial statements
• Reduce vulnerability and increase internal competence in the area
• Quality-assure and structure the collection of data from companies and operations
• Develop and document routines, templates, and working methods
• Contribute to improved analysis and note disclosures
• Support the finance function in matters related to group accounting

Your qualifications

• Documented experience in consolidated financial statements/group accounting
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work
• Good knowledge of LKBR and RKR
• Experience working within municipal operations
• Experience working in larger financial systems
• Consultant at specialist level with the ability to work independently from day one
• Experience in municipal group accounting

Meritorious

• Experience in introducing system support for group accounting
• Experience with Unit4 ERP
• Experience leading or driving development work within accounting
