About our vacancy

We are a group of 20 doctors operating within the Emergency Care area (VO) and are now looking for you who want to become part of our team as a Specialist Training Doctor (ST-läkare) and contribute to the development of emergency care at SÄS. The medical group also drives development in improvement projects and has regular training sessions, both independently and in collaboration with other units. As an ST-doctor, you will receive good supervision and continuous feedback to support your development as an emergency physician.

The Emergency Care area also includes ambulance services, which provide good conditions for collaboration and the development of pre-hospital care. After gaining some experience, you will also have the opportunity to become part of the Mobile Emergency Doctor Team (MALT).

The emergency doctors currently staff all days of the week from 07:30 to 21:30. Plans are in place to also provide night coverage.

About us

The Emergency Care area covers the emergency department and ambulance services. The emergency department at Södra Älvsborg Hospital in Borås is a large workplace with approximately 120 employees and around 60,000 visitors per year. We currently treat acutely ill patients within medicine, surgery, infection, orthopedics, and neurology. Our nurses also care for patients in ENT and ophthalmology. These patients are currently assessed by doctors from their respective areas of operation.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have a Swedish medical license and master the Swedish language at level C1. We place great emphasis on your communication skills and ability to collaborate. Furthermore, we look for someone who is willing to contribute to the efficient development of our operations and to maintain the positive work climate in our units. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.

We would prefer that you have longer experience in the profession. Additionally, it is an advantage if you are a former specialist and wish to obtain a double specialization.
