Description

Ambulance care at Skaraborg Hospital operates 24/7, 365 days a year. We strive for continuous improvement to ensure patient safety, medical quality, good accessibility, and a work environment where our employees thrive. Ambulance care in Skaraborg consists of six operational units: Skövde, Mölltorp, Mariestad/Hova, Skara, Falköping/Tidaholm, and Lidköping/Vara. At each unit, we work to constantly improve our professional interaction between staff and patients. Here, all efforts and employees are equally important for the overall system to function as well as possible. We have a good team spirit and value having fun at work.

We are now looking for ambulance care providers for our resource team within the ambulance service in Skaraborg. As an employee of the resource team, you will work throughout the Skaraborg region depending on where the need arises.

Responsibilities

As an ambulance care provider, you will work in a team close to your colleagues regarding patients across most specialties. In close collaboration with nurses, you will participate in assessment, referral, care, and transport based on the patient's medical condition. The work involves many different contact areas both internally within the organization and externally. Since we always strive to get better, continuous improvement work in all processes within ambulance care is also an important task, where you, with your competence, are a valuable resource.

The resource team has its own unit manager. You will receive a thorough introduction, attend APT (Annual Performance and Development Review) together with your colleagues in the Resource Team, complete training, and participate in other work-related activities relevant to the operations. You will operate within the entire Skaraborg ambulance area.

Scheduling is managed by our staffing coordinators within the Skaraborg Hospital Ambulance Service. The schedule will cover six weeks at a time and is created by the staffing coordinator in consultation with each individual. The schedule is distributed two weeks before the start date.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an ambulance care provider. Previous experience in ambulance care and/or emergency care is meritorious. Since you will encounter patients of all ages with very varying diagnoses, we see that you have good communicative competence and a trustworthy approach, meeting the patient in a professional and reassuring manner.

Work shifts are often spent in close collaboration with colleagues and in demanding situations. Therefore, we want you to have a good ability to switch pace and build good relationships with your colleagues. Since the work involves working in a resource team, great flexibility is required.

Personal suitability will be given great weight. To work as an ambulance care provider, you must meet the physical requirements of the operations upon hiring. The position requires a C1 driver's license and access to a personal car.

Other

The position includes working weekends, evenings, nights, and weekdays according to the working hours available in the operations. Selection takes place during weeks 30 and 31 due to holidays. When appointing a position within the ambulance service, an extract from the suspicion and criminal record register is always requested. This request is made by the employer.
