Description

The ambulance service at Skaraborg Hospital operates 24/7, 365 days a year. We work continuously to improve patient safety, medical quality, accessibility, and to create a work environment where our employees thrive. The ambulance service in Skaraborg consists of six operational units: Skövde, Mölltorp, Mariestad/Hova, Skara, Falköping/Tidaholm, and Lidköping/Vara. Here, all efforts and team members are equally important for the overall system to function as well as possible. We have a good team spirit and value having fun at work.

We are now looking for a nurse for a permanent position within the Falköping/Tidaholm ambulance unit.

The Falköping/Tidaholm ambulance unit has two 24-hour ambulances, two day ambulances (operating hours 07:00-20:00 and 07:00-18:00), as well as a load-and-assess unit.

Responsibilities

As a nurse in the ambulance service, you will work in a team close to your colleagues, providing both general and specialized nursing care to patients across most specialties. The work is characterized by constant assessment and prioritization based on the patient's medical condition. The role involves networking with many different internal and external stakeholders. Since we always strive to improve, continuous improvement work in all processes within the ambulance service is also an important part of the job where your competence is a key resource.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you have specialist education in ambulance care, this is meritorious. Previous experience in ambulance care and/or emergency care is also considered an advantage. To work as a nurse in the ambulance service, you must meet the physical requirements of the operation upon hiring.

The position requires a category B driver's license; a category C1 license is meritorious.

As you will encounter patients of all ages with very varying diagnoses, we look for someone with strong communicative skills who inspires trust and meets patients in a professional and reassuring manner. Shifts are often spent in close collaboration with colleagues and in demanding situations, so we want you to have the ability to adapt to changing paces and build good relationships with your colleagues.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Other Information

The position includes working weekends, evenings, nights, and weekdays according to the schedules available in the operation.

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the crime register) is always required when appointing a position within the ambulance service. This request is made by the employer.

Selection will take place during weeks 31 and 32 due to holidays.
