Skepplanda Medical House is a small health center with an associated rehabilitation unit that started its operations in November 2020. The smaller size of the health center offers a good environment for completing your first year as a practicing psychologist. An experienced psychologist colleague is on-site and has extensive experience in supervising and supporting PTP psychologists during their first year.

Work at Skepplanda Medical House is highly varied. The work of the PTP psychologist includes, similar to other health centers, assessment, counseling, psychological treatment, and preventive measures. We meet people of all ages with a broad spectrum of mental difficulties and problems.

What distinguishes the work at Skepplanda Medical House from many other health centers is a distinctive team approach and a strong trust in the unique competence of each profession. For the psychologist, this practically means that we have meetings with patients together with other professions several times a day, and that we jointly take responsibility for the patient's cohesive care. Trust in the specific competence of each profession also means that all assessments regarding suspected mental illness are primarily made by psychologists, and that psychological treatment is the first choice for all mild to moderate mental illness.

Our organization also has a strong desire to develop our operations. For the psychologist, this means that we have developed a range of different types of treatments and therapeutic forms to offer patients. In addition to evidence-based individual treatments, we have groups for a number of different conditions, usually in collaboration with other professions. We also offer internet-based treatments, digital care meetings, and preventive projects in cooperation with schools in the local area.
