The Care Administration in Trollhättan Municipality consists of approximately 2,000 employees who make a difference every day for the elderly and people with disabilities.

We are now looking for an engaged nursing assistant/care assistant for our special housing facility for the elderly at Domarringsvägen in Åsaka – a pleasant and homelike facility in a natural environment. Job Responsibilities

At our facility, you work based on the national value base for elderly care, focusing on person-centered and health-promoting care. In this role, you provide support and care based on each individual's needs and conditions, with the goal of creating security, participation, and good quality of life for our users.

The work is based on the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Services Act and includes basic care, delegated health and medical care tasks, as well as practical support in daily life. Documentation according to current legislation is a natural part of the work.

You work closely with colleagues, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and relatives, where collaboration and good treatment are important parts of the assignment. We have an open and helpful work climate where we support each other, share knowledge, and work together to develop the operations and achieve our common goals.

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and continuous weekends.

Work may occasionally take place at other units if needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska) or care assistant (vårdbiträde). As a nursing assistant, you have a high school diploma from the Care and Care Program or other education that the employer considers equivalent. As a care assistant, 800 high school credits within care and nursing are required.

Previous experience as a nursing assistant/care assistant is considered an advantage.

Since the work involves many contacts with colleagues, users, and relatives, as well as regulated requirements for documentation, good knowledge of Swedish is required, both spoken and written.

To succeed in the role, you need to be secure and responsible in your profession and have good empathy to meet the individual needs of users. You are good at taking initiative and have a flexible attitude towards the whole. Through your positive attitude, you promote a good work climate where you contribute to the team's development and success. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Employment Information

• To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must present a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Please attach this to your application.
• You must also be able to present a valid extract from the criminal record. You order this via the police website Criminal Record - request extract | Police Authority (polisen.se). Choose the criminal record "Elderly or adults with disabilities".
• The position is initially a fixed-term employment for 1 year starting in September with an employment level of 75%.
• This position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.
