Your workplace
Pediatrics is part of the inpatient care area and is the county's specialist clinic for children and young people. The department has approximately 210 employees and consists of a specialist clinic, outpatient care, day care, the emergency clinic for children and young people, the physician unit, a resource team, and wards 11 and 12 with a total of 29 care beds.
The children's clinic is sometimes called "the small hospital within the large one," which can be explained by the fact that within our operations, you encounter most of the different specialties in healthcare. Medicine, surgery, orthopedics, oncology, acute care, and ICU care are some examples. This highlights the extensive and broad experience and knowledge we have to offer both patients and employees.
The pediatric inpatient care is divided into teams depending on the medical area. Our healthcare administrators have distributed the administrative work among the teams, which provides the opportunity to administratively deepen knowledge in selected areas. Our wards also have healthcare administrators, as do the Pediatric Emergency Clinic and the Outpatient Clinics located in Karlstad, Arvika, and Kristinehamn.
Your responsibilities
At Pediatrics, you as a healthcare administrator play a significant key role in the patient's care chain. You are an important part of the team and collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and others.

Your skills and competencies
We are looking for you who are trained as a healthcare administrator or medical secretary. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language as well as medical terminology.
You are meticulous, flexible, responsible, and have a good attitude towards people and enjoy providing service. To thrive with us, you should be able to take initiative and organize your work independently, but also have a good ability to collaborate in a team. You see opportunities and are positive towards development work. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
