Are you our new personal assistant looking to work up to 100% in a permanent position? We at Vår Omtanke are now looking for a personal assistant for a man in his early 50s who lives 2.5 miles outside of Visby. You can also apply for this position as a substitute only, but it is important that you clearly state how much you can and want to work in your application.

Having a driver's license and access to a car is a requirement for commuting to and from the workplace. Although bus connections exist, a car is practically necessary.

This is a brand new assignment starting on September 1, 2026. We are looking for a complete work group as the client recently received approval for personal assistance services. We are looking for people of all ages and welcome both male and female applicants. In total, we will hire at least six new employees.

In this role, you will make a difference in another person's life and work together with us according to our vision: Everyone has the right to a good life. Since we have other clients near where the man lives, there is an opportunity to work with other clients if you are interested.

About the position
You will assist with cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal hygiene. There are also opportunities to sit down and chat, watch TV, or socialize in other ways.

Who are you?

We are looking for you, woman or man, who takes initiative, has understanding, and is receptive. It is important that you enjoy working with people and can solve problems. This is not a job where you simply take orders and execute them; you must take the initiative yourself and ensure that necessary tasks are completed.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish to communicate effectively with the client.

It is important that you have a normal level of physical fitness as transfers are part of the job.

Working hours and extent of employment:

We are looking for someone who can work full-time (100%), but we are also looking for substitutes and those who wish to work part-time. Shifts are normally 08:00–18:00 and 18:00–09:00, seven days a week.

Salary: Fixed hourly wage by agreement, other benefits according to the collective agreement.
