About SiS Youth Home Eknäs

The National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is a government agency that provides individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and adults with substance abuse problems. Our operations are built on professional support, security, and structured interventions to create life-changing change for the individuals we meet. At Youth Home Eknäs, beautifully located by Lake Mälaren a mile outside Enköping, we receive school-age boys aged 12–16 with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. The institution has four departments, one MBB department, and 3 treatment departments, one of which is open.

We are now looking for an HR Generalist with a special focus on recruitment for a 12-month fixed-term position with the possibility of extension. In this role, you will be a central actor in our talent acquisition and work strategically and operationally to attract, develop, and retain the right employees. Your contribution is crucial to ensuring we have the competence required to operate our activities with high quality.

Your role: From recruitment to employee development

As an HR Generalist with a focus on recruitment at Youth Home Eknäs, you are responsible for ensuring that the entire employee lifecycle runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role is multifaceted and involves both strategically shaping our recruitment processes and operationally executing them. You will become a key link between managers, employees, and external actors, and your ability to build trust and create clear structures is crucial.

Recruitment is a central part of your assignment. You lead and develop our recruitment processes from start to finish, with a focus on finding the right competence for SiS's operations. This means conducting needs analyses, designing job ads and recruitment strategies, handling selections, and conducting structured interviews together with the hiring manager. You work actively with competency-based recruitment and ensure that our processes are inclusive and attract a broad candidate pool. Additionally, you contribute to strengthening SiS's employer branding, both internally and externally, to position us as an attractive employer.

Your work extends beyond recruitment. You are responsible for ensuring that new employees get a good start through well-planned pre-boarding and onboarding processes. This may involve designing induction programs, coordinating mentoring, or ensuring that new employees quickly feel welcome and integrated into the operations.

To succeed in the role, you need to be knowledgeable about Swedish public sector employment law and recruitment, and preferably have experience working in HR systems such as Primula and Reachmee. You collaborate closely with trade unions and participate in negotiations when necessary.

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed in the role of HR Generalist with a focus on recruitment at Youth Home Eknäs, we see that you have an academic degree in HR, behavioral science, or equivalent experience in operational HR work. You have several years of experience in recruitment, preferably with a focus on Talent Acquisition (TA), and are accustomed to working with competency-based recruitment processes. Experience in handling pre-boarding, onboarding, and off-boarding is advantageous, as is knowledge of public sector employment law and collective agreements.

You are confident in your role and have a consultative ability, meaning you can give advice and support to managers in a professional and pedagogical manner. You are structured and able to prioritize, with the ability to handle several parallel tasks without losing focus. Your communication skills are strong, and you adapt your language to the target audience to create clarity and trust.

We are looking for a person who is proactive and solution-oriented, who takes initiative and drives processes forward. You are accustomed to working both independently and in teams, and you enjoy building relationships and collaborating with different professional groups. A genuine interest in HR and employee development is a prerequisite, as is a desire to contribute to an operation with high demands on quality and professionalism.

Terms of Employment

The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. The employment is full-time (100%) and starts in August 2026, or as agreed. The location is at Youth Home Eknäs in Enköping.
