About the role and responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is positive, innovative, and has the ability to see the user's development and potential. You have experience and interest in working with users with autism, intellectual disability (ID), and greater care needs. We would appreciate it if you had experience working with challenging behavior and clarifying pedagogy within LSS (Support and Service Act) operations.

The staff density is high at our units, and in some areas, we work with double staffing. It is important that you are flexible and solution-focused, as the work may involve covering different groups as needed. There are situations with challenging behavior, and care is also part of the job.

The responsibilities also include drawing up and designing implementation plans, documenting, and contributing to maintaining good quality in the operations.

About us

At our day activity units, we work close to the users and support individuals in activities adapted to each person's specific needs. We offer our participants both sensory-stimulating and work-like activities. At one of our units, we have operations for people with congenital deafblindness and another for the deaf, where all communication takes place in sign language. We also have units where we work with creative arts, music, theater, and IT.

The operations also include a meeting place with the mission to help people achieve a meaningful leisure time. Mötesplats Gråsparven is aimed at people within LSS who are 15 years or older and live in Lund Municipality. Here, users have the opportunity to meet friends, play music, play games, and buy coffee and pastries.

We work to ensure that our users have the opportunity to be as independent as possible and live the life they desire. This requires that you have leadership skills, are curious, and have the ability to listen to our users.

Working hours

As a support assistant in day activities, you work Monday–Friday 07:30–16:00.

Qualifications

• Approved grades from the care and nursing program, child and youth program, society/behavior, or other post-secondary education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience and familiarity with working with challenging behavior.
• Experience and familiarity with care work.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• A driver's license is required for some units.
