Driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
You will work in a competent team where everyone is given the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and encouraged to think innovatively. At Saab, teamwork is about much more than just shared goals – the journey there is equally important. Helping each other out and respecting each other's differences is second nature to us!
Responsibilities
- Integrate weapon systems for the JAS 39 Gripen together with suppliers.
- Ensure that the weapon system functions correctly in conjunction with the aircraft through testing and investigations.
- Develop systems for the interface between weapons and aircraft, such as weapon pylons.
The role involves several interfaces, where you will collaborate closely with our internal teams working on the aircraft's other subsystems and technical areas, such as flight testing, flight engineering, structural analysis, design, operations analysis, etc. You will also maintain an ongoing dialogue with suppliers and customers.
Travel is involved, both to secure cooperation and communication with suppliers and end customers, and to visit Saab at other locations (Malmslätt, Arboga).
Your Profile
A genuine interest in technology and a curiosity to learn new things are prerequisites for success in this role. You demonstrate a solution-oriented approach and are eager to share your knowledge.
- A university degree in engineering (Master's or Bachelor's level) in fields such as Flight Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, or equivalent.
- At least 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably as a systems engineer within mechanical systems.
- Previous work experience with flying materials is advantageous.
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
We appreciate methodical working styles and the ability to prioritize your time effectively. Your previous professional experience will be evident in how you take on responsibility and approach challenges with structure and calmness.
You have the interest and ability to create and maintain good collaboration with all parties involved. You are skilled at adapting your dialogue to your audience, are receptive, and communicate with clarity.
The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance procedures according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
What You Will Be Part Of
Discover endless possibilities. Embrace challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary, with each person bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
