You are welcome to apply for the position of teacher in wood and metal crafts.

You will be part of a subject team consisting of three colleagues with long and extensive experience in teaching crafts. Together, you will develop the teaching through weekly subject conferences.

You are based at the secondary school Fågelforsskolan 7-9 and meet students from the southern part of Vaggeryd Municipality: Fågelforsskolan 3-9, Sörgårdsskolan 3-6, and Tofthaga School year 5-6. For the academic year 2026/2027, you will primarily teach at the secondary level as well as some classes in grades 3-6.

The craft workshop has been renovated a few years ago, and together with colleagues, you are responsible for the structure of the current premises, ensuring that everything has its place. Together, you improve the environment.

The position includes mentorship in year 7 together with a colleague and work team. A major focus will be to guide students to become secondary school students and support them in study techniques and effort. You and your colleagues lay the foundation for the remaining time at the secondary school.

Qualifications
We are looking for you with a strong commitment to the students and teaching, who, together with colleagues, want to be part of Fågelforsskolan's collaboration.

You are a trained teacher in wood and metal crafts and preferably with experience in the profession. You have teacher certification in your subject and preferably in an additional subject such as mathematics, natural sciences, or technology. You are a structured person with a fine ability to build relationships with students and colleagues.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, as the municipality's schools collaborate with Remida and other companies that have materials that are put to good use in crafts.

The recruitment is ongoing. As far as possible, colleagues will participate in the interview together with Principal Helen Kähr.
