Hedemora Energi grid development

About the role
As a Grid Development Engineer here, you will become a key person in the work of developing and future-proofing our power grid. You work through the entire process from analysis and planning to design and completed facility. The role is both operational and strategic, where you lead and drive projects while collaborating closely with colleagues, contractors, and customers. Your tasks are varied and include working with new connections, grid reinforcements, and reinvestments. You prepare project documentation, participate in site visits and project meetings, and ensure that the work follows current regulations and standards. You also actively contribute to our improvement work, conduct risk assessments, and participate in on-call duty within the electricity distribution network. Here, you play a central role in ensuring a robust, cost-effective, and sustainable power grid.

Your profile
The role suits you who have a strong interest in power grid development and want to work with technology, structure, and project management in combination. You are self-reliant and solution-oriented, while also having good collaboration skills and appreciating working together with others to achieve common goals. You have a post-secondary electrical engineering education or equivalent experience, and preferably a few years of experience from the power grid industry. You have knowledge of electricity distribution networks (0.4-20 kV) as well as understanding of work according to ESA and EBR. If you have knowledge and experience from working with GIS and have previously worked with design or preparation, it is an advantage.

As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and have a strong safety mindset. You thrive in a role where you get to take initiative and drive the work forward from start to finish.

What we offer
Here, you get a developing and varied role in a local energy company with short decision-making paths and great commitment. You become part of an organization where we work closely together, support each other in daily life, and where your ideas and drive make a difference. We are facing several exciting investments and development projects where you get the opportunity to influence how the future power grid in Hedemora should look.
