At Norconsult, you will have the opportunity to drive and develop electrical and automation solutions in assignments ranging from feasibility studies to commissioned facilities – alongside colleagues who complement your skills and customers who value your expertise.

Here, you will work in technically advanced and varied projects with a significant impact on industrial development. You will become part of our industry group in Borlänge, where we combine local presence with a strong national network within electrical engineering, automation, mechanics, and machine safety.

We offer a role for you who want to take overall responsibility – both technically and in dialogue with the customer.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Electrical and Automation Engineer, you have a leading role in our assignments. You are responsible for driving solutions from concept to final delivery and often serve as the customer's technical sounding board.

You will, among other things:

  • Lead and be responsible for the electrical and automation aspects of projects
  • Drive design, construction, and technical solutions
  • Ensure quality in electrical drawings, documentation, and system solutions
  • Work closely with customers in technical decision-making and requirement setting
  • Participate in or lead commissioning and verification
  • Contribute to risk assessments and machine safety work
  • Participate in tenders, calculations, and development of offers

You often work in roles such as Project Manager, Technical Lead, or Senior Specialist.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is confident in their role and accustomed to taking responsibility – both technically and in customer relations.

You have:

  • A university or university college degree in electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent
  • Several years (preferably 8+ years) of experience in electrical and automation projects within the industry
  • Good experience in driving assignments independently and taking technical responsibility
  • Experience in design and construction (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar)
  • Good knowledge of PLC/SCADA (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider, or similar)
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious:

  • Experience in project management and customer responsibility
  • Background in process, manufacturing, or energy industry
  • Strong competence in machine safety and relevant regulations (e.g., Machinery Directive/Machinery Regulation)
  • Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of facilities

As a person, you are business-minded, solution-oriented, and have a structured approach to work. You are confident in customer dialogue, enjoy taking responsibility, and are eager to contribute to the development of both the team and the business.
