At TaxiCaller, we are looking for a skilled backend developer to help increase the development pace of our mobility as a service platform.

About you

We are looking for someone who fits the following description:

• You have studied software development at a university or college.
• You have programmed extensively in object-oriented languages, preferably Java, although this is not a strict requirement.
• You have strong drive and can work independently.
• You have experience in server-side programming with database connections.
• You have a good understanding of scalability and performance; experience working with transaction-intensive systems is a plus.

It is considered a positive if:

• You have experience with HTML5 and JavaScript.
• You have experience with PHP, SSL, and MySQL.

About your responsibilities

You will work on the server-side of our mobility as a service platform.

We have servers on all continents, and the system is highly complex.

Development is partly done in Java with MySQL as the database.

We also use microservices, where we run Redis as an in-memory data store along with MySQL as the database.

You will be involved in both designing the server architecture and the actual implementation, working closely with our CTO.

We work agilely according to Scrum.

TaxiCaller was founded in 2011 and has developed a mobility as a service platform that has quickly achieved international success and is now used by transport companies worldwide. Initially, our focus was on offering our system to taxi companies, but we have now expanded and offer our system to other types of transport companies as well, such as bus operators.

Our system is revolutionary as we constantly use the latest technology in both web solutions and smart mobile devices (iPhone and Android). We are experiencing strong demand for our product, and we therefore need to expand our development department.
