Aerospace systems is looking to strengthen our organization with a FAI Coordinator.
As a FAI Coordinator, you are responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring the implementation of First Article Inspection (FAI) in projects and programs.
The role involves close collaboration with production, quality, design, and other stakeholders. The FAI Coordinator ensures that quality is built into the product from the start.
By coordinating verification, documentation, and corrective actions, you contribute directly to robust deliveries, reduced deviations, and increased customer satisfaction.
You ensure that the product meets all requirements according to design specifications, customer requirements, and standards (e.g., EN 9102) – and that deviations are handled systematically through corrective actions.
The Role
- Plan and coordinate the FAI implementation based on project needs and approved changes, including informing relevant functions.
- Ensure prerequisites for review, such as inspection readiness, correct documentation, and available data and resources.
- Lead FAI reviews and verify requirement fulfillment against drawings and other governing documents, together with a review team.
- Document and manage the outcome, including deviations, change requests, and follow-up of actions.
- Create, quality-assure, and complete the FAI, including reporting, signing, partial FAI if applicable, and archiving according to current processes.
Your Profile
- Technical education or equivalent experience, preferably in production technology or a similar field.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and control methods.
- Basic understanding of requirement management and verification of requirement fulfillment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of standards such as EN 9102 and related processes.
- Experience with FAI implementation in production or quality roles.
- Knowledge of change management and industrial processes.
