Odensalaskolan is Östersund Municipality's largest primary school with over 600 students from preschool class to year 9. The school is newly built, and the last students moved in as recently as autumn 2023. Your new job

We are looking for you with a teacher's education in Meänkieli for the academic year 2026/2027. Desired start date: week 34.

The position is 8%, primarily distributed as 2 teaching sessions per week, including associated planning and follow-up work.

Your tasks will involve planning and conducting the student's education in Meänkieli in year 6.

There is a great chance of extension with a corresponding change in employment rate related to the timetable for years 7–9.

Your competence

Requirements

• Teacher's education with a focus on languages; Meänkieli
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Merits

• Previous experience working in a school
• Knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in daily work
• Previous experience with digital systems aimed at schools, such as: Google Workspace, Unikum, Skola24, IST

You are structured and flexible in your working methods and have a good ability to switch between different teaching situations and tasks. You have clear leadership in the classroom and see the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment. As a person, you are relationship-building and easily build trusting contacts with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have good collaboration skills and are happy to contribute to collegial learning and the school's joint development. We place great emphasis on personal qualities for the position.
