Description

Yrkesgymnasiet Örebro is primarily seeking a certified vocational teacher within the Vehicle and Transport Programme - specialization in Car Mechanic, but you are also welcome to apply if you have at least five years of work experience from the industry. At our school, students learn a trade from the ground up on real workplaces with experienced supervisors. In this position, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with future car mechanics. More than half of the students' education takes place at a workplace, giving them a solid foundation and an advantage on the job market. Our students are prepared in the best possible way for their future professional lives with the support of their supervisors and dedicated educators.

The position is 60%.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a certified teacher for the Vehicle and Transport Programme - specialization in Car Mechanic, or alternatively has at least five years of experience from the industry and a strong drive to teach and supervise students.

  • Is an excellent communicator and team player who can act as a bridge-builder between school, students, and business.

  • Has a B driver's license and preferably access to a personal car.

  • Has the ability to work independently while being team-oriented and collaborating with colleagues to best prepare students for their future professional lives.

Qualifications

A teaching degree or substantial experience in the vehicle and transport industry, along with a desire to inspire and develop the next generation of car mechanics. Teaching certification and pedagogical experience are desirable but not mandatory.
