The National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues across the country. At SiS, your working life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken receives boys aged 16 to 20. The institution is located in Uddevalla.
Job Description:
Are you motivated by helping young people in vulnerable life situations? Do you also enjoy organizing, leading, and planning? Then apply for the position of Group Leader at SiS Ljungbacken. As a Group Leader, you contribute to a safe and secure environment for both placed young people and staff. In this role, you work actively in the operational care and treatment work on the ward. You are responsible for planning, operationally leading, and distributing the daily work. You act as a role model and promote that the work is conducted in a legally secure manner and in accordance with current guidelines, methods, and established goals. You keep the unit manager of your ward updated on issues that may affect the working environment, care and treatment environment, or deficiencies in the operations. Introduction and supervision of new employees are also part of your work. You are part of a team with the unit manager and treatment secretary, and you will have close collaboration to create good results together. You are also part of the management on-call duty and act as a substitute for the unit manager during their absence.
Qualifications:
To thrive and succeed in the role of Group Leader, you are motivated by working with and helping people in vulnerable life situations. The operational work and meeting with young people are your primary focus. You are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively and are clear in your communication with others. At the same time, you are attentive and affirming in your approach to young people and staff, and are good at building relationships. You have a professional attitude and a good ability to collaborate and put yourself in others' perspectives. The work is sometimes challenging and requires that you are stable and keep your calm even in stressful situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You must also have:
- A university education of at least 180 higher education credits with a focus on social, care, or behavioral sciences, or another educational focus that the employer considers equivalent
- Several years of work experience in work within SiS or other operations focusing on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, care and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant operations
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and oral
- Category B driver's license

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
Working hours are primarily daytime, Monday-Friday. Flexible working hours agreement applies. Management on-call duty during evenings and weekends according to a schedule is included.
