Your responsibilities

Omniglot is now looking for a native language teacher in Chechen, 2.5% position, in Gävle, starting in week 34 in August.

As a native language teacher, you teach children and young people in your native language outside of regular school hours, usually in the afternoon between 14:00–17:00, and sometimes in the morning between 08:00 and 09:00. This position is for a school in Gävle, so you must be a resident of the area.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting native language lessons;
• Managing student attendance and absence;
• Email contact with guardians;
• Grading and providing feedback;
• Reporting your working hours and maintaining close contact with Omniglot's central unit;
• Participating in professional development together with other teaching colleagues.

Your profile

To be employed, you must provide a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority's record of convictions (belastningsregister) that is less than one year old. We are looking for someone who:

• Lives in Gävle;
• Has Chechen as a native language;
• Speaks and writes Swedish fluently;
• Is proficient with computers;
• Is attentive to students' needs and interests;
• Is flexible and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, guardians, and school staff.

Teaching experience is an advantage.
