About the Child and Education Administration

The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a secure educational environment. Job Description

As a psychologist with us, you are one of 19 skilled psychologists working within Huddinge Municipality's preschools as well as primary and upper secondary schools. You are centrally employed at the Section for Psychological Initiatives in Preschool and School, but the work is largely carried out at the school units where you are the responsible psychologist.

The tasks are varied, and you work to promote health, prevent issues, and implement measures. Here, you work independently with the opportunity to influence, while also being offered extensive professional support. This includes continuous professional meetings, access to materials and method documents, collegial supervision, external supervision, and mentoring for new employees.

As a school psychologist, you participate in the student health services work together with the principal and other professions in the student health team. As part of the school's student health team, you are expected to:

• Contribute psychological competence as support in pedagogical work and in the overall planning of student health services.
• Contribute psychological knowledge about protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, e.g., through training initiatives.
• Provide knowledge about neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities.
• Provide supervision and consultation to school staff.
• Conduct psychological investigations and assessments of students to identify and understand barriers to learning.
• Participate in various types of conversations/consultations with students, guardians, and educators.
• Collaborate with other agencies such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Habilitation Centers for children, etc.
• Contribute competence and support in connection with crisis management.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with experience working with children and young people. We would appreciate if you have experience with investigations and conducting supervision, consultation, and training initiatives. As a person, you are secure, reliable, and social. You can work independently while valuing collegial exchange. You have a good ability and interest in collaborating with other professional categories. You are relationship-building, trustworthy, and good at creating trusting relationships with students, guardians, and other staff. You contribute structure, problem analysis, and a holistic view. You take initiative, are flexible, and communicate easily both verbally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
