About the Position

We are looking for a licensed school nurse with a start date in August 2026.

As a school nurse at the upper secondary level, you have one of the most important and rewarding roles in the education sector. You are a central part of the school's Student Health Team (SHT) and work primarily to promote health and prevent illness to create the best conditions for students' well-being and academic results.

The upper secondary years are an intense period in life, making your role both broad and significant. Your main responsibilities include:

• Driving preventive health work: You offer health conversations and follow up on students' development and vaccinations.
• Providing secure counseling support: You are an accessible adult who supports students with issues ranging from stress, sleep, and mental health to lifestyle, identity, and sexual health.
• Handling basic healthcare interventions: You perform minor emergency care and self-care guidance, and offer open clinic hours for students during the school day on certain occasions.
• Collaborating in the SHT team: You work closely with the school counselor, study and career advisor, special educator, and school management to identify students in need of support early on, while maintaining contact with guardians and external agencies such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) or the Youth Clinic.

The position is a temporary sick leave replacement from August 10 to December 18, 2026. The position is 90% full-time. There is also an opportunity to adjust the employment percentage based on the applicant's preferences.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed school nurse, preferably with further education as a specialist nurse in child and adolescent health, district nurse, or school nurse.
• You have a genuine interest in young people, are skilled at building relationships, and thrive working both independently and in a team.
