We are now looking for a healthcare assistant for our small specialist clinic specializing in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) in Åkersberga, northeast of Stockholm.

Here, you will work in a personal and small-scale practice alongside specialist doctors and audiologists. As a healthcare assistant here, you play a central role and are often the first person the patient meets – both in person and over the phone. You are simply the hub of the clinic.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Employment type: Permanent
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week distributed Monday–Thursday (can be adjusted)
  • Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement
  • Location: Åkersberga

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves a combination of caregiving and administrative tasks, including:

  • Receiving patients, registering arrivals, and handling patient fees
  • Managing bookings, monitoring incoming referrals, and calling in patients
  • Maintaining ongoing patient contact via phone and 1177
  • Preparing patients for, and assisting with, various procedures
  • Treating benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
  • Performing wound dressings
  • Ordering patient transport, interpreters, and contacting other clinics if necessary
  • Ordering and restocking consumables
  • Dishwashing, sterilization of equipment, and cleaning of consultation rooms

This is not an exhaustive list, but it gives an idea of the breadth of responsibilities and the level of responsibility the role entails.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a healthcare assistant education
  • Has experience working in a clinic setting (ENT experience is highly meritorious)
  • Is familiar with working in the medical record system TakeCare
