We are looking for you who have knowledge and a strong interest in working with individuals who have memory disorders (dementia) and/or mental health issues. Since we only serve clients within these specific areas in our home care operations, it is important that you are passionate about this field.
Working Hours and Availability
The operation has two different shifts per day. Depending on needs, you will work one of these:
- Day shift: 07:30–16:30
- Evening shift: 15:00–22:00
Availability Requirements: You must be available to work at least 3 shifts per week on a rolling basis. We prefer that you can work more than this, as we strive for the highest possible continuity in our operations. We do not accept applications where you can only work weekends or partial shifts. We also look for candidates who intend to stay with the operation for a longer period.
Please state in your application how many shifts per week you can work and for what period.
Salary
The salary is set according to the operation's collective agreement (Almega).

To thrive and succeed in this role, the following qualifications are meritorious:
- You have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various dementia diseases or mental health issues.
- You have worked for a longer period within home care or nursing homes.
- You speak and write Swedish very well. This is required as you will meet clients who may have difficulty understanding or speaking, and you must be able to document in journals and read instructions accurately.
- You are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your approach to work.
- You can handle stress and plan and structure your work effectively.
- You have good local knowledge of Inner Stockholm, as you travel to clients via public transport or on foot (we do not have company cars).
Please note that we place great emphasis on personal suitability, such as knowledge, interest, initiative, communication skills, attitude, and personality.
Job Responsibilities
You follow an intervention schedule and visit clients in their own homes to perform the interventions they are entitled to according to their care decisions. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- General and intimate hygiene, showering.
- Cooking and social companionship.
- Cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
- Accompanying clients to various facilities and walks.
We focus heavily on motivation to enable the execution of interventions and use various work methods as tools. You have access to a group leader and administrator at the office during daytime for support in your daily work.
Who Are We?
Stockholm Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that performs interventions in clients' homes. We also offer escort services, relief services, and supported housing. Our operation consists of two large teams:
- The Dementia Team: Focuses on clients with dementia diseases where the severity varies.
- The Special Team: Focuses on mental health issues, ongoing substance abuse, and includes supported housing.
We use the time reporting system Paragå. Employees log in and out for each client visit using a mobile phone and NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.
Location and Transportation
We have clients in 8 different neighborhoods. You start and end your shifts from our premises on Södermalm. Since we do not have company cars, you travel to clients via public transport or on foot. A valid SL card is a requirement for this position.
