Psychologist for Skolfam – Building Future Support for Foster Children
All children have the right to succeed in school and the opportunity to reach their full potential. For children placed in foster care, a functioning education system is one of the most important protective factors for mental health, future education, and establishment in adult life.
Lidingö Municipality is now taking an important step by introducing Skolfam as a project – a nationally established and research-based working model that strengthens the school results, health, and future life chances of children in foster care through close collaboration between social services, schools, student health services, and foster homes.
We are now looking for a psychologist who wants to help build Skolfam in Lidingö. This is a unique opportunity for you who want to combine your professional competence with development work and contribute to long-term change for a group of children who often have great needs for support.
With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the child, influence operational development, and help create a model that can make a difference for many years to come.
Who is Lidingö Municipality?
The foster care service belongs to the Care and Social Administration, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö Municipality. We exist to create security and opportunities – whether it concerns elderly care, social psychiatry, support for people with disabilities, or individual and family care. With experience, cooperation, and curiosity, we meet every individual based on their needs and create security and opportunities, both today and for the future.
Welcome to Lidingö Municipality – a green, city-proximate island only 15 minutes from central Stockholm. With knowledge and cooperation, we build bridges that lead to new opportunities, both for the life that is happening and for what awaits. Here, there are many opportunities to develop your strengths – or discover entirely new ones. With heart in the work, eyes on the future, and curiosity as a guide, we make life and working life in Lidingö a little better every day. Welcome to become part of Lidingö Municipality – the bridge to the future.
