Note:

You must be a fully qualified assistant nurse (undersköterska) and be able to provide proof of qualifications and a protected professional title for this position.

We are looking for you who are an assistant nurse and have knowledge and interest in working with people who have memory diseases (dementia).

Start date: Immediately

Working hours: 15:00–22:00

Part-time percentage: 84.12% (approx. 19 shifts over four weeks, both weekdays and weekends). The business has chosen not to offer a 100% position as this would result in too many work shifts per month for the employee, contributing to a better work environment.

Please note that we do not approve of you working at more workplaces than this during your employment.

Education requirements: Fully qualified assistant nurse with a recognized Swedish certificate of 1500 credits.

Salary: According to the business's collective agreement.

Probation period applies for 6 months from the date of employment according to the collective agreement.

For working in the business, it is meritorious if you:

• Have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various dementia diseases or mental health issues.
• Have worked for a longer period within home care services or elderly care facilities.
• Speak and write Swedish very well, as you visit customers who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you must be able to document in journals and read instructions.
• Are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your approach to work.
• Handle stress well and can plan and structure your work.
• Have good local knowledge of inner-city Stockholm, as you travel to customers via public transport or on foot.

Job Responsibilities

You follow an intervention plan and visit customers in their own homes to perform the interventions approved for them according to the assistance decision. The decision includes, among other things, care for general hygiene and intimate hygiene, dressing and undressing, cooking, household maintenance, and social interaction. We work extensively with motivation to be able to perform the interventions and use various work methods as aids.

Who we are

Stockholms Demens och Specialteam is a home care company that performs interventions in the customer's own home. The business also provides escort services, substitute care services, and supported housing.

The business primarily targets customers with varying degrees of dementia, mental health issues, disabilities, and substance abuse problems. In the evenings, customers with dementia primarily receive visits according to assistance decisions.

We work with the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out for each customer visit using a mobile phone and NFC tags. Documentation is done directly on-site in the customer's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.

Where we are located and how you get around to customers

We have customers in eight different districts. You start and end each work shift from Södermalm, where we have our office, regardless of which district you are in during the day. You travel to customers via public transport or on foot (the business has no cars). An SL card is required for this position.
