Ward 16 is a general psychiatric inpatient ward belonging to the Psychiatry Northwest clinic. The ward's main focus is on depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, but we also treat patients with other psychiatric and social issues. Comorbidity is common. We have 16 care beds, one of which is designated for voluntary admission. We admit patients over 18 years of age. The ward is centrally located at the S:t Göran hospital area on Kungsholmen, with good access to public transportation.
On the ward, we place great emphasis on the work environment and patient safety. We enjoy our work and are proud of our empathetic, engaged, and competent team! We actively work on competence development and implementation projects to strengthen our employees and provide our patients with the best possible care. The Bergen Model forms the foundation of our approach, where friendly and professional handling, as well as low-affective strategies, create security in both daily and acute situations.
Job Responsibilities:
Standard duties as a registered nurse in psychiatric inpatient care. You have overall responsibility for psychiatric and somatic nursing care and are expected to be able to prioritize and delegate tasks. You are ultimately responsible for medication management and nursing documentation. We use Take Care as our medical record system.
During night shifts, you work in a team together with assistant nurses. There is always an on-call doctor available by phone, who will come to the ward if needed. You also have nurse colleagues to consult on the neighboring wards in the building, especially our sister ward, Ward 18, which belongs to the same clinic and has the same psychiatric focus.
Qualifications:
You have a Swedish nursing license and a genuine interest in psychiatric care. As a person, you are calm and stable, unpretentious, solution-focused, and have an easy time collaborating. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. We prefer that you have experience working in psychiatric care. Specialist competence in psychiatry is meritorious but not a requirement. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Other Information:
Start date by agreement. A probationary period of 6 months may apply. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
We offer among other things:
- Flexible working hours.
- Free healthcare in outpatient care.
- A wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK/year.
- Retention bonus – after one year of employment, an annual time bank of 40 hours is added, which can be taken as leave, money, or extra pension savings.
We warmly welcome your application!
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
