The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Edboskolan is a preschool to year 6 school with approximately 800 students and 110 employees who work together to create a school where the keywords knowledge, safety, and joy are in focus.

Reading, curiosity, and joy are the cornerstones of Huddinge Municipality's primary schools, and the students' knowledge, safety, and ability to act are in focus. The primary school in Huddinge works with three prioritized areas: mathematics, language development, and IT in teaching. Huddinge Municipality is to offer education based on research and proven experience.

We are now looking for a social pedagogue for our fine school. You will work in a team consisting of special educators, special teachers, Swedish as a Second Language (SvA) teachers, counselors, support pedagogues, etc., with the task of providing our students with the support they need.

About the job

You build trusting relationships through a clear, professional adult role and are where the students are – in the classroom, in the corridors, at transitions, and during breaks. Through your presence, you contribute to increased safety, well-being, and study environment. Your work is both promoting and preventive. You strengthen group dynamics, prevent conflicts and harassment, and support students in social and psychosocial challenges. Through conversations, mentoring, organized break activities, and targeted interventions, you contribute to every student feeling seen, heard, and respected.

About you

We are looking for you who are educated and certified as a social pedagogue and have previous multi-year documented experience of working within primary school. We would like you to be familiar with the legislation SoL, LVU, LSS, have knowledge of PBS (Positive Behavioral Supports), and have worked with motivational interviewing. We also see that you have good digital skills.

We are looking for you who are relationship-building, communicative, good at collaborating, skilled in conflict management, and possess good pedagogical ability. You also easily identify needs and find solutions, are good at reflecting and evaluating your work, respect the individual, understand different norms and backgrounds, and are professional in your approach.
