Responsibilities

As a Support Pedagogue, you are responsible for implementing decided methods and working approaches in the operations and in the work with the personal assistant user/client.

You work with supporting, motivating, and guiding both personal assistant users/clients and colleagues, as well as following up and evaluating implemented measures.

As a Support Pedagogue, you serve as a support to other staff in the work with social documentation and implementation plans. You collaborate with colleagues to develop action plans for specific personal assistant users/clients and cooperate with the users, their relatives/guardians, and staff in other operations.

The Support Pedagogue is responsible for implementing an ethical approach in the work group that promotes the personal assistant user's/client's self-determination, participation, integrity, and security.

The Support Pedagogues within the operational area are part of an overarching network led by method developers. Colleagues from other operations within the area meet regularly to exchange experiences and develop working methods for the entire area. Within personal support, the Support Pedagogue collaborates closely with the respective unit manager, method developer, and operations developer to monitor how the work at the unit is functioning.

Qualifications

For the position of Support Pedagogue, a post-secondary specialization within the disability field is required, comprising at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits combined with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The education must include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) nursing, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

Communication and documentation are important parts of the job, requiring you to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet these qualification requirements, you may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit.

It is a requirement that you have experience working with social documentation.

Experience within the operational area of personal assistance and/or escort services is meritorious.

You adapt easily to changed conditions and new information, quickly changing your perspective and approach, and seeing opportunities in changes.

You act independently based on what the situation requires, without needing support from others, and have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment.

You work efficiently under stress, can balance different demands, and maintain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between facts and personal matters and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure.

Based on your area of responsibility, you can resist pressure from others, set boundaries, and say no when necessary. You are clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands.
