Do you want to take on a socially important task? As a security protection specialist within the field of information security, you will play a key role in supporting the agency's growth and the continued development of its security protection work. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally alongside your colleagues while contributing to a radiation-safe society.
We are looking for a Security Protection Specialist for our Business Protection unit. You will be organizationally placed within the Business Protection unit, which is responsible for coordinating and developing internal security work as well as physical protection. The location of the position is Solna.
About the role
As a Security Protection Specialist, you will work with issues related to information security and security protection within the organization. The role has a clear focus on operational tasks, but also includes strategic and tactical elements. You will contribute to developing, coordinating, and strengthening the agency's security protection work, with a particular focus on information security and security-sensitive information systems.
Your main responsibilities:
As a natural part of the job, you will maintain an ongoing dialogue with employees and managers within the agency. You will also collaborate with other area managers within security protection and business protection, and have recurring contacts with external suppliers and other relevant actors.
Within the security protection function, there are designated area managers for the different subject areas of the Security Protection Act. Your main focus is information security, but the area of responsibility can develop and adapt over time based on the organization's needs. The role therefore offers the opportunity to work with both operational and developmental issues, as well as to contribute to the continued development of the agency's security protection work.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
It is meritorious if you have experience with, for example, special security protection assessment (SSB) prior to system commissioning, signal security, exposure of security-sensitive operations, and/or other relevant legislation beyond security protection legislation related to security protection and signal security. Experience from the state administration is also meritorious.
To succeed in the role of Security Protection Specialist, it is important that you can work independently and possess the ability to work in a structured and proactive manner. At the same time, you need to be flexible and adaptable based on the workload and the fact that the unit is undergoing development. Furthermore, it is essential to have good cooperation skills and the ability to take initiative. Having a knack for case processing and administrative tasks is a given.
As an employee at the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, you are expected to live up to our value base (https://www.stralsakerhetsmyndigheten.se/om-myndigheten/sa-arbetar-vi/var-vardegrund/). Working in the state means that you follow the state value base (https://www.forvaltningskultur.se/statliga-vardegrunden/). Special requirements are placed on judgment, security thinking, and that you follow current laws.
A workplace with meaning
As an employee at the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, you are part of an important societal mission. Here, many different competencies work together on issues concerning technology, natural sciences, society, law, and communication. You will have a job where you can develop in your professional role while contributing to something that is truly important – for the sake of security.
About the employment
The employment is permanent with a start date as agreed. The employment may begin with a probationary period of six months. You will be employed as a case handler. Since we strongly believe in collaboration between colleagues, we want you to work from the office for the majority of your working time, but you also have the opportunity to work from home part of the time. Business travel occurs.
You may be part of the agency's crisis organization and may also be war-placed at the agency. The crisis organization performs radiation protection assessments and nuclear technical analyses and collaborates with other relevant actors to handle radiological emergency situations, including situations at heightened readiness.
An employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our security-classified tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
