KFUM District Central is looking for a local business developer in Gävleborg for a 20% fixed-term position of approximately 6–12 months. In this role, you will help develop the district's support for our member associations and contribute to giving more young people the opportunity to grow in safe and meaningful contexts.

About Us

KFUM District Central is a district organization for KFUM associations in Dalarna, Gävleborg, Halland, Södermanland, Uppsala, Värmland, Västmanland, Västra Götaland, and Örebro County. The district's mission is to support member associations and contribute to meeting places where young people can develop.

About the Role

As a local business developer, you work closely with associations in Gävleborg. You are a vital link between the associations and the district, contributing to building relationships, gathering knowledge, and creating local presence.

You work under the supervision of the district's central business developer.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• conduct proactive and relationship-building work with associations in Gävleborg
• participate in mapping associations, contact persons, and local needs
• schedule, conduct, and follow up on association visits, conversations, and meetings
• contribute to documentation and reporting from local and regional initiatives
• participate in network meetings, information sessions, and other activities
• provide input to the central business developer for planning, follow-up, and continued development work
• participate in board meetings for reporting, if necessary

We are looking for you who

• enjoy meeting people and building relationships
• have good ability to structure, drive, and follow up on work
• are independent, communicative, and confident in creating relationships with different people
• share KFUM's values
• have experience from KFUM or other non-profit activities
• understand the conditions and opportunities of the association life
• have a good understanding of what strengthens an association and local engagement
• can work independently and take responsibility for following up on contacts and activities
• have good knowledge of using the Office package in MS365 as well as Teams or equivalent products

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience from the non-profit sector, youth activities, or membership organizations
• experience in managing multiple contact areas simultaneously
• experience in association work or non-profit activities
• experience in proactive work, collaboration, or member contact
• local anchoring in Gävleborg's association life
• experience in documenting and reporting completed work

About the Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment at 20%, equivalent to 8 hours per week. Working hours are flexible based on the needs of the activity. Work in the evenings and on weekends occurs. Placement is made according to agreement within Gävleborg. Parts of the work can be performed remotely. Travel within Gävleborg is included in the position. Please state if you have a driver's license and access to a car.

KFUM District Central is affiliated with the collective agreement between Fremia and Unionen. We are open to different types of employment relationships, e.g., service purchase if you run your own company or are affiliated with another KFUM association.
