Responsibilities

We are currently looking for two child welfare officers (barnsekreterare) to work with placed children and young people in foster homes, residential care (HVB), protected housing, and the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS). You will work in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL), the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU), and the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS).

We continuously work to make the resident's encounter with social services positive through clarity, legal certainty, and participation to create positive change in families.

As a child welfare officer, you play a key role in the collaboration surrounding the placed child. Collaboration takes place with caregivers, guardians, schools, healthcare, and other important people for the child. The work also involves documenting actions taken and conducting analyses and assessments regarding resources and needs of individuals.

You will have close collaboration with the individual, their network, as well as other actors and colleagues within the organization. To maintain high quality in operations, you as an employee will collaborate closely with colleagues and management, receive regular supervision, and have good opportunities for competence development.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you with a degree in Social Work and experience in authority exercises within social services. Since you make independent assessments and take your own decisions, you need to be analytical and reflective. The work will be varied and requires you to be flexible and able to prioritize. In your work, you are positive and engaged and have the ability to collaborate with colleagues and other actors. You are interested in development work and see opportunities within social services. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing to communicate and document in a secure and understandable way. Personal suitability is given great weight.

You must also have a driver's license for a manual transmission car and be able to drive a car in the role.

Training in BBIC, MI, Signs of Safety, Freda, child interviews, PATRIARK, and NPF, etc., is meritorious.
