Our Operations
Norra Länets Psychiatry is part of the Area of Operations Psychiatry within Region Uppsala and belongs to the Section for Addiction and Neuropsychiatry. The operations are located in Tierp with branch clinics in Gimo, Skutskär, and Tärnsjö. As a specialist psychiatric outpatient clinic, we offer assessment, treatment, and follow-up for adult patients over 18 years of age with, among other things, affective disorders, psychotic disorders, neuropsychiatric disabilities, personality disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. The work includes medical treatments, psychiatric assessments, counseling, consultation, conversation interventions, and support for relatives when needed.
At the clinic, several professions work together, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, rehab coordinators/occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. The operations are conducted based on evidence-based care processes and guidelines, in close collaboration with primary care, the municipalities in the catchment area, habilitation services, and other psychiatric operations within Region Uppsala.
Psychiatry in Region Uppsala is undergoing a comprehensive development and transition process focused on offering more home-based care and strengthening patients' opportunities for self-care. As an employee, you will be involved in this development work and contribute to developing and ensuring the quality of routines, working methods, and care processes with a clear focus on patient safety.
Your Role
As a nurse at the clinic, you work in a multiprofessional team where the patient's individual needs are at the center. The role involves significant personal responsibility while requiring close collaboration with colleagues and other professions. The operations require good planning skills, structure, and the ability to prioritize based on medical needs. The work may involve rapid changes at times, which requires flexibility and a good ability to adapt to changed conditions.
In this role, you are responsible for all parts of the nursing process, from assessing and analyzing the patient's nursing needs to planning, implementing, and following up on nursing interventions. Together with the patient, you formulate care goals and plan health-promoting and health-preserving measures based on science and proven experience. Duties also include managing the clinic's digital care channels, medication administration, sample collection, and medical assessments. You contribute your nursing competence to the team's collective work regarding the patient.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a new colleague who is a specialist nurse with a focus on psychiatric care or has long-term experience in psychiatric care. Experience from both inpatient and outpatient care is meritorious.
Your Competence
You have a good ability to work independently while thriving in collaboration with other professions. The work requires you to be structured, methodical, and responsible, as well as able to prioritize and adapt your work based on the operations' needs. You are solution-focused, communicative, and have an easy time creating and maintaining good collaborations both internally and externally. We also see that you have an interest in development work and feel confident in supervising colleagues and contributing your competence in medical assessments.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Before employment, a check against the suspicion and criminal records register will be conducted, as well as a check with IVO (The Swedish Health and Care Professionals Agency).
