Hello mission
Come and work in-house with us at the Västerås office and help us make industries both more modern and smarter! We are looking for a developer for the SICS department, Smart Industry Control Software. As the name suggests, SICS works on making factories more modern and efficient. We use modern technology and often interface with control engineering, automation solutions, and robotics. Most of our projects are carried out from our office, but sometimes we also work on-site at our customers' premises. These customers are often active in the steel or manufacturing industry.

Hello Team SICS
SICS works primarily in-house. A large part of the group works with our two products: FOCS and CellManager. FOCS is software for optimizing fuel usage during steel heating. It reads data from the industrial control system and estimates how heat is added and spread in the steel, in order to then optimize how hydrogen or fossil fuels should be burned to reach the target temperature. CellManager is the hub in the robot cell that enables machines to collaborate. CellManager receives order data from higher-level systems and reads the status of equipment in the cell, then CellManager makes all decisions on how the cell should run, and attempts to resolve all error cases without operator intervention. We often build cells together with our colleagues in the automation department in Västerås. We also have industry-focused web development to help customers handle orders and production monitoring.

The Prevas family in Västerås has grown significantly. We are today the region's leading consulting provider in our field with 200 employees focused on product and production development. Of these, approx. 40 are software specialists working with the development, installation, and commissioning of software, primarily within industrial environments.
