Join us in building a modern digital archive in an exciting project with our client in Arboga – one of the leading technical consulting firms in the Nordics, serving clients within defense, the defense industry, and civil infrastructure. About the Role

As a Technical Specialist, you are responsible for establishing and managing the technical environment for the digitization of drawings and documents. You work in close collaboration with the project manager and are responsible for both system configuration and practical execution. The role entails overall responsibility for the technical chain in the digitization process, from setting up hardware to registering and quality-assuring digital material.

The project is expected to last approximately one year, with a possibility of extension. This is an opportunity to become part of a socially important company in a growth phase. You will be offered a key and independent role in a socially important project within the defense industry. You will have the chance to build structure and working methods from scratch and contribute to ensuring long-term information management in a security-classified operation.

Responsibilities

The project aims to build a digital archive by scanning and registering existing paper drawings and documents. After scanning, existing drawings and documents should be organized as needed so that they can continue to be preserved and retrieved in a physical archive.

  • Structure and organize routines for physical documents, metadata, scanning, registration, and storage.
  • Configure and deploy computers, scanners, and software for digitization.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting and manage the technical environment during the project.
  • Identify needs for equipment and software and contribute to defining requirements for technical equipment.
  • Quality-assure scanned material and ensure traceability between the digital and physical archives.
  • Document technical routines, settings, and working methods.
  • Perform scanning of technical drawings and documents.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has good computer skills and experience working in a Windows environment.
  • Has experience configuring technical equipment such as scanners, computers, and peripherals.
  • Has basic knowledge of storage, databases, and digital document management.
  • Has experience with digitization, scanning, or metadata management.
  • Has the ability to perform technical troubleshooting and document technical solutions.
  • Is a Swedish citizen, as this is required to undergo a security clearance.
  • Has very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as the language is used in daily work.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience in IT administration, system administration.
  • Experience with document management systems, archive systems, or technical databases.
  • Experience working with technical drawings, technical documentation, or large volumes of documents.
  • Previous experience working in a security-classified environment.
  • Experience working in a project-based manner.

  • Start Date: As agreed
  • Location: Arboga, remote work is not possible
  • The position is security-classified, which means a security clearance, including register check, will be conducted in connection with employment (in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Security Protection Act).
