Your Role

The Surveillance business area offers effective solutions for surveillance and decision support, as well as systems to detect and protect against various types of threats. The product portfolio includes airborne, land-based, and maritime radar systems, signals intelligence and self-protection systems, command and control systems, as well as systems for maritime and air traffic control.

We are now looking for experienced technical project managers who want to drive both delivery and product projects. This role is perfect for you if you want to combine technical responsibility with leadership and thrive close to the solution. Here, you will have a key role in leading the integration and overall scope in complex system deliveries of some of the world's leading systems in our field.

As a Technical Project Manager, you have the overall responsibility to ensure that the project meets technical requirements within budget and delivers according to plan. The role involves leading and coordinating the technical operations in the projects - both internally within our teams and externally with the customer.

Being a Technical Project Manager also entails:

• Leading and ensuring progress regarding the technical work within projects
• Being responsible for customer and supplier contact regarding technical aspects
• Supporting the Project Manager with documentation during customer interactions
• Monitoring project activities and ensuring project commitments and progress through active leadership
• Coordinating and specifying requirements for internal technical functions, including defining the project scope, schedule, budget, and resource needs
• Having the ability to conduct system analyses of prospects already in the "Win Business" phase, possessing sufficient technical understanding to create basis for costing, and driving/leading design activities

The location for this position is in Arboga.

Your Profile

You are a person with substantial experience in technical project management. You have an engineering degree, preferably at the master's level, and several years of experience in systems work. We believe you currently work as a systems engineer, lead engineer, architect, or in a similar role in complex projects, where you have had a clear responsibility for technical direction, coordination, and the overall picture.

You have a good ability to find effective solutions and navigate the organization, communicating with our internal suppliers to solve and prevent problems and challenges. The position also includes significant communication with external customers, which requires good business acumen, as well as good knowledge of both Swedish and English in writing and speech.

Qualifications such as knowledge and work experience supported by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) are meritorious. Experience from working in the defense industry is also considered an advantage.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at any given time. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
