About the Role

You will be part of a unit working with the development, management, and further development of communication solutions within defense-related environments. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a major development project that is in a crucial phase ahead of installation and upcoming commissioning. The projects our client works on are large-scale and span several years. In addition to the primary project you will be responsible for, you will also apply your expertise to other adjacent projects and, in the long term, become a key player for future projects.

You will work closely with systems engineers, sub-project managers, and other technical specialists in areas such as networks, radio, and IT security. The role entails overall responsibility for the project's planning, execution, and follow-up, ensuring that deliveries meet the set goals for time, cost, and quality.

As a new member of the team, you will receive a thorough handover from a highly experienced project manager who currently leads the project.

You will work from our client's office in Arboga, with the possibility of remote work approx. 1 day/week in the long term. Initially, you are expected to work from the office in Enköping approx. 1 day/week, as this is required for the project's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive medium to large projects through their entire lifecycle
• Ensure delivery according to set goals for time, cost, and quality
• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on project activities, resources, and deliveries
• Report project status and progress to steering groups and other decision-makers
• Responsible for budget tracking, resource planning, and forecasting
• Contribute to the development of project methodology, working methods, and processes

We are looking for someone who has

• Documented experience in project management within technical operations
• Documented experience in driving complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Experience working according to established project methodologies, e.g., agile or waterfall
• Very strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
• Swedish citizenship as the position requires security clearance
• Category B driver's license as travel is involved in the role

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience working within or for the defense industry
• Experience in change management and agile working methods
• Knowledge of security protection or work in regulatory environments
• Certification in project management, e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
• Experience in system design, system architecture, or technical infrastructure solutions
