The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Sector for Community Development plays a central role in creating an attractive and sustainable municipality where people enjoy living and working. We work to develop the municipality in many different areas, such as planning and construction, environmental and health protection, land and development, water and sewage, waste, surveying, sports facilities, housing adaptation, transport services for the elderly/disabled, as well as streets, parks, and harbors.

The Operations Unit is part of the Infrastructure operations within the Sector for Community Development in Stenungsund Municipality. The unit is responsible for the areas of Streets/Public Spaces and the Water and Sewerage (VA) network. This part of the operations handles the municipality's common areas, such as streets, paved areas on squares, road verges, winter road maintenance, and the entire underground VA system. Construction work is performed by the unit upon request from other units or operations within the municipality.

Job Description

Do you want to work in a socially important operation where you contribute to the functioning of Stenungsund Municipality? We are now looking for an engaged and responsible excavator operator!

As an excavator operator in Stenungsund Municipality, you have significant personal responsibility to achieve the best possible results for our citizens, both independently and together with other staff.

As an excavator operator with us, you work with varied operations, maintenance, and construction tasks. We want to clarify here that the operator is expected to assist with pipe work or similar tasks even when outside the machine.

The tasks may include, among other things:

• Excavation and earthmoving for streets, public spaces, and VA pipelines
• Repairs, new installations, and maintenance of the pipeline network
• Restoration of ground, roads, and paved surfaces
• Work in traffic environments and collaboration with colleagues and management
• Daily supervision and simple maintenance of machines
• On-call duty may be included

Qualifications

You are responsible, safety-conscious, and have a structured approach to work. You enjoy working both independently and with others, contributing to good collaboration and a positive work environment. You are flexible and solution-oriented, even when the work requires quick interventions.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has education and documented experience as an excavator operator
• Has a valid operator's license for excavators
• Has experience in ground, construction, or VA work
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has a B-driver's license (required)

Merits:

• Chainsaw license A-C
• Work on roads level 2.2
• License for wheel loader (construction)
• Computer skills/Office
• BE-driver's license

Employment type: Permanent position.
