Hörnefors Central School is a preschool to grade 9 school with approximately 400 students. The school is beautifully located at the edge of the forest and a stone's throw from the sea. Here, there is access to a swimming hall, an artificial turf field, and ski tracks. We are now looking for a substitute social pedagogue!

Your responsibilities

You will primarily work as a social pedagogue with grades 4–6, but also as a link up to grades 7–9. You are part of the work team for grades 4–6 and your task is to work closely with students to promote health and school attendance. Your duties include meeting students in groups and individually, planning health-promoting work areas, leading outdoor recess activities, and collaborating with guardians on matters concerning the school and well-being.

About you

We are looking for someone with good self-awareness and who is secure in themselves. You have experience working independently and taking initiative. You have good experience supporting students in their studies, e.g., with applications and contacts with other authorities, as well as with the school's educators and support functions. You should also be accustomed to documenting and analyzing your work systematically.

A large part of the role involves collaboration and contacts between different parties. This requires you to be communicative, trustworthy, and have good teamwork skills. You will meet people in different situations and with different prerequisites, which requires good empathetic ability and that you are receptive. Building good relationships is a prerequisite for the work, which is why we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Trained social pedagogue
• Experience working with children in middle school age
• Unimpeded knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English
• Valid extract from the criminal record
