Do you want a job that makes a real difference, in one of Sweden's most beautiful environments? We are now looking for a personal assistant for a man living in Saxnäs.

The position is a permanent part-time employment at 50%, with a probationary period possibly applied. We also seek hourly substitutes as needed.

Responsibilities

You will work together with a team of experienced assistants. The man you assist describes himself as a social and humble person with a large dose of humor and a twinkle in his eye.

He appreciates a good atmosphere in everyday life, has good cognitive abilities, and expresses himself independently.

As the man has visual and hearing impairments, your communication will take place by signing in the hand as well as via haptic signals. This is a unique skill that you will learn thoroughly through a safe on-site induction. Previous experience is meritorious, but your commitment and attitude are most important!

The work involves:

• Supporting the man in daily life with a positive and engaged approach.
• Acting as his extended senses by conveying visual and auditory impressions.
• Assisting with simple household chores.
• Accompanying as support during activities, trips, and errands.

Working hours are scheduled during daytime and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident, receptive, and considerate. You have a calm demeanor, take responsibility, and contribute to a good work environment.

You speak and write Swedish fluently to be able to convey impressions from the surroundings.

A Category B driver's license is required.

Meritorious:

• Experience from LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or personal assistance.
• Previous knowledge of sign language communication/haptics.

Conditions

An extract from the police criminal record is required prior to employment.
