About the Department

The Individual and Family Care department is a broad operational area focused on providing good service and support to citizens, as well as exercising official authority. The department is divided into several units:

• The Adult Unit: Handles cases regarding financial assistance, substance abuse and addiction treatment, domestic violence, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) administration, and social assistance administration according to the Social Services Act (SoL).
• The Children and Youth Unit: Manages matters related to family law, foster care, support and treatment, and operates family centers.
• The Assistance Group (Åmotfors): Currently, three people work here (one with a part-time leadership role), handling decisions on assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL).

Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Social Assistance Administrator (SoL) to join our group in Åmotfors. The role involves investigating, assessing, and making decisions on interventions according to current legislation. You will work independently within a group of knowledgeable and experienced colleagues.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Investigating, assessing, and making decisions on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL).
• Following up on and reviewing previously made decisions.
• Collaborating with the individual client, their relatives, as well as guardians/administrators.
• Cooperating within the group and with other professional roles and partners, such as planners in home care and area managers in health and support services.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we look for the following competencies and qualities:

• A university degree from a social work program or the social care line.
• Comfort with the official authority role and good knowledge of current legislation.
• Professional attitude, attention to detail, and initiative.
• Strong teamwork skills, engagement, good verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to vary tasks according to the unit's needs.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

A valid B-driver's license is required.
