Our goal is to prepare nutritious and delicious meals that create joy in eating for guests of all ages. Our vision is to cook homemade food using as many locally produced ingredients as possible. We are now looking for a new team member!

Älvdalen's Kitchen consists of two production kitchens and one receiving kitchen. We prepare both special diets and standard meals for nursing homes, schools, and preschools. You will have the opportunity to work in several of our different kitchens, but your primary workplace will be the production kitchen at Älvdalsskolan. Here, the food for all schools in Älvdalen is prepared. The role also includes serving meals to students.

What a cook does here

As a cook with us, you will perform all common kitchen tasks. You will also prepare special diet meals; if you haven't done this before, we will teach you!

The entire work group shares responsibility for food hygiene, self-control, and the purchase of food and consumables according to the municipality's purchasing routines. You and your colleagues help each other out.

The work also involves working in other kitchens in Älvdalen.

Who are we looking for?

To thrive in this role, we see that you take responsibility for your tasks by planning and prioritizing your work efficiently. You adapt easily to new situations and see opportunities in change. You collaborate well and express a positive attitude towards your work. By listening and communicating, you resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.

You are a trained cook who prepares food with passion and pride. You can or want to learn how to prepare special diet meals. You understand and can work according to HACCP/self-control. Since our work is highly digitized, good computer skills are required. You must have a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing.

Knowledge of Mashi, handling self-control systems, and an interest in vegetarian cooking are meritorious.
