In the Disability Support department, you work with people with various disabilities. A disability is a reduced physical, mental, or intellectual ability. It can be congenital or acquired later in life, and it can be visible or invisible. Every person is unique – with their own abilities, needs, and strengths – and that is what makes the work both meaningful and developmental.

Job Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting hourly substitutes for night shifts (awake nights) for Housing with Special Support (BmSS). Placement is based on the needs of the operations and your previous experience. As an hourly substitute, you cover for the absence of regular staff in the operations. You control your own working hours by entering your availability yourself and receiving work requests thereafter.

When working awake nights, you are responsible for supporting the tenants to have a safe and calm night in their own home. By creating conditions for good sleep, you lay an important foundation for a higher quality of life during the day. The tasks include being available for the tenants, providing pedagogical support and personal care based on the tenants' individual needs. The work includes cleaning common areas, documentation, night supervision, and medication management according to delegation. Challenging behavior and self-harm behavior may occur in some of our operations.

Qualifications

You who apply for the position with us must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations on the working environment for minors (AFS 2023:2).

Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit.

If you are educated as a support assistant, assistant nurse, or have another education that the employer deems equivalent, or alternatively have an ongoing education within care and social services, pedagogical or social work, it is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have experience working within care and social services, pedagogical or social work.
