About the job

We are looking for a Social Secretary (Social Worker) for Unit Rehab 1 within the Economic Assistance department at the Social Administration South West. The unit works on investigating the right to assistance, with a special focus on subsistence support for individuals with physical and/or mental health issues. We are one of four units within the economic assistance division. The unit consists of 11 social secretaries, one social administrator, two FUT-handlers (handling incorrect payments), and one unit manager. A new first-level social secretary will be joining us this autumn.

We are located within the Adult and Subsistence Support division, a stone's throw from Frölunda Torg, with good transport links and access to lunch restaurants. We value your work environment and offer supervision, staff support, fitness allowance, bicycle allowance, and flexible working hours – to ensure you have a sustainable and pleasant work situation.

In your role as a social secretary, you investigate the right to assistance and work together with the individual all the way to self-sufficiency. By working closely with clients at every step of their development, you contribute to creating the conditions for their continued success. You meet every individual with respect and understanding for their unique situation, adapting to where they are in their process. The work involves close collaboration with various partners within social services, actors conducting work rehabilitation, and not least the healthcare sector.

We offer you a varied and stimulating job. You will share an office with a colleague and be part of a work group characterized by high competence and good cooperation, where we help and support each other forward!

About you

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Worker). You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience in authority practice and/or work with economic assistance is meritorious.

As a social secretary, you meet people in vulnerable life situations, which requires a professional, respectful, and attentive approach. You are secure and stable in your professional role and have the ability to make independent and well-founded decisions. You work systematically and have good skills in planning and prioritizing your work. At the same time, you thrive in collaboration with others and actively contribute to a good work climate. With a holistic view of the assignment, you consider both the individual's needs and the organization's goals. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and other actors to create the best possible conditions for the client.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Selection and interviews may begin before the final application deadline. Do not hesitate to apply today!

We warmly welcome your application!
