We are looking for a temporary accountant for the Accounting Unit. This is a six-month temporary position with the possibility of extension within the Finance Department.

The Accounting Unit belongs to the Finance Department, which consists of a total of 16 people distributed across two units (accounting and controllers) as well as a function for procurement issues.

What can we offer you?

We offer you a temporary position with responsibility for customer accounts receivable. You will become part of an engaged team working with ongoing payment flows, invoicing, claims and debt collection management, reconciliations, and customer contacts. Other common tasks within the Accounting Unit may also become relevant.

The Accounting Unit is responsible for the municipality's external accounting, preparation of interim and annual financial statements, and the production of the annual report. The role also involves contributing to the development of the municipality's finance and business systems, as well as actively participating in the work to develop and streamline the municipality's financial processes. You will serve as a support to the municipality's operations regarding financial matters and work together with your colleagues to ensure the quality of ongoing accounting.

What are we looking for in you?

We are looking for you who have experience in accounting and who thrive in a role where attention to detail, responsibility, and collaboration are important parts of everyday life. A university education in economics is an advantage.

You have an interest in system and digitalization issues and are curious about how technology can contribute to developing and streamlining the operations' working methods. Experience in similar tasks is an advantage, but we also value your willingness to learn new things and develop in the role.

To succeed in the assignment, you need to be solution-oriented and able to see connections between details and larger contexts. You work independently, plan and prioritize your work effectively, and have an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships through professional conduct.

We are looking for a person who fits well into our organization and our team. You have good knowledge of Excel, learn new IT systems quickly, and contribute with a positive engagement in the joint work.

We would like you to attach certificates and grades from the education you refer to in your CV with your application.
